Ms. Talabani pointed out that the media organizations have a great role to exert pressure to achieve the objectives of the campaign, the most important of which is the development, financing and implementation of credible plans to implement the entire agenda of the fourth goal of sustainable development (SDD4) and realizing the importance of strengthening public systems and state capacities to ensure that education is free. She also emphasized on the credible and transparent mechanisms for civil society participation in monitoring and accountability on the agenda, highlighting public education and the central role of governments, challenging increasing privatization, and establishing credible plans for universal public education. All of these aims are at the heart of the fourth goal of education within sustainable development. She also called for a broad concept of quality and the cessation and reversal of increasing trends of quality concepts that are equal to the achievements in terms of standardized tests, especially on reading, writing and sports, along with demanding commitment to provide qualified teachers and ensuring their empowerment. Employing well-trained and professionally qualified cadres, having good and effective potential was also one of the aims.
